A final book will mainly cover the years 1981 to 1984 and contain a brief summary of the back end of their career, covering up to the absolute end of the band at Walsall Town Hall in 1991 and their final record releases that year. That will conclude the work on Slade. This last book will be issued early in 2023.

Tony also has a book on Queen in the planning stage.

Married to the ever-patient Lisa and the proud father of two grown-up sons. When they fled to their own homes, to escape the sound of Tony’s drums, the empty nest provided some office space and retirement allowed time to browse far-off newspaper archives via the internet and, to his amazement, books started to flow.

Formerly a gas fitter by trade, he has written pieces for a few hobbyist magazines over many years and having retired in 2020, now divides his time between a holiday flat in The Algarve with a really spotty internet connection and the family home in south London.

The second batch: Slade In 1974, Slade In 1975 and 1976 will hopefully follow later this year.

I intend to publish Slade books that cover the period up to 1984. The final book will contain a summary of the end of their career.

I have also started work on a series of general music books, which are scheduled to be published over the next couple of years.

Not to be confused with the author of "The 8 Secrets of Peace of Mind: Your Peace of Mind Is in Your Mind" or any books about sport. Those books are fabulous, but they are not mine.
